Did you have a one night stand that you regret?
One night stands. Such shame around them. Such a deep topic rich with insights and possibilities…
With the clients I have who were single, not dating and had a one night stand and feel ashamed… I ask why? Was it fun? Great! Were you honored? Great! Did you grow, expand and learn about yourself? Great! Were they grateful for you, your body, your beauty, your self expression? Great!
The one night stands only seemed to hurt when people were NOT honored, didn’t have fun, the other wasn’t grateful for them, it was passionately unconscious and addictive, not joyously a CHOICE on both parties.
So I encourage you to release shame about a one night stand and ask what’s right about it that it’s trying to show you. That you crave more touch? That you love sex and it’s time to let go of the judgment around that? That you use sex as a manipulation and it’s time to let that go? That you choose a long term relationship and it gave you context to know that? That it was fun and it’s time to release other people’s opinions and live your own life? SOMETHING good can come from this… look for it!
Release all unkindness toward yourself. Own that you did that. Own the lessons. Own your expansion. And own your capacity to choose again. Every time choosing what works for you, honors you, celebrates you. Sex can be so caring, healing, kind, creative and deliciously orgasmically nourishing! Enjoy!!! Choose those who play with you in that realm and notice if allowing that wonderful life force energy to pulse through you, doesn’t make you a little happier, more confident and alive!
Lastly, if there’s anything to clean up, communicate, release all judgment or shame, stand heart open, vulnerable, kind and honest and handle it. You can do it. And if the only one to communicate with is you, have a look in the mirror and love yourself now.>
