Being grateful is a beautiful thing but being grateful for where we are now or what we have now is harder because quite often we desire something other than where we are or what we already have.
If we can’t be completely at peace with where are life is at this very moment we can’t continue with the cycle and make room for what we have coming in our future. It’s as if resistance is persisting and holding back our blessings.
Seeing what we have right now in the present and appreciating all that we have been given will open up the path for more blessings and things to be grateful for. Even the struggles you have are cause to be grateful because there is a lesson to learn and a chance to grow. Open yourself to appreciating the positive in any situation and you’ll find the situation becomes less of a struggle. You will harness strength and develop your inner Goddess as you appreciate the gift of learning.
Every night, before my son and I go to sleep, we say our thank yous. We say thank you for everything that happened during the day; even the struggles. We say thank you for everything from the stars, to milk, to our relatives, to each other, to this bed, to this pillow everything and anything we can think of.
What a powerful way to drift off to sleep every night. Try it! Don’t count sheep, count your blessings.>
