I wanted to go deeper into our conversation about the Ego with glorious goddesses Tammy, Donna, Jaime ad Heidi! I believe Ego is completely different than true feminine confidence…. in fact the more I read, live and learn, I believe ego is simply a mechanism to maneuver in the world of seeming separateness while full well knowing we’re all One.
For example, I remember talking with Dr. Northrup about this… how first she really had to have a full on egoic nasty bashing outpour of feelings about her ex… and then she was able to actually to write a letter to him of her honest feelings of love for him AND for all the growth she’s received because of him, she then read it to him AND to her daughters to let them know that while things have changed, there was a time when they were both conceived in love.
Thus I think it’s totally wonderful to enjoy ‘feeding our ego’ and yet be 100% clear that it has nothing to do with the truth of who we are, our innate worth, our fundamental oneness beyond identity, beyond things, even beyond agreement from others. Continue reading Ego ~ Women’s Facebook Group

Saskia Shakin. She is SO amazing and we spoke so in depth about public speaking. This is a wonderful interview where this brilliant woman shared her true passion for speaking because you LOVE to be there, in the moment, allowing yourself to be free and to be heard. I love it and hope that you did too. If you missed this call don’t worry, just go to http://www.AllanaPratt.com/members.
Naia, Jamie, Susan, Tammy & Stephanie, just a special shout out to you ladies this month of Love…
What I’m hearing is that you are taking girlfriend time and nourishing your bodies, minds and spirits. Rock on sisters, so vital foundational, and deliciousness enhancing practices!
I also honor I believe it was Naia who said she dove into some dark places regarding loss with selling her home… you know there is a Grammy song about a young woman going back to the home that ‘built me’. For some reason it makes me bawl every time.
Until recently I didn’t think of objects like homes as having energy. Now I do and have my home Vastu’d (Indian Feng Shui) and I nightly thank this home for it’s support, beauty and nourishment. That song tells me like you Naia, that I have skipped over a grieving part of my upbringing. Continue reading Selfless Acts ~ Women’s Group on Facebook
I like your awareness of doing an act in the moment for it feels right, no need for credit, just what you chose to do from love. I question though if sharing it later is necessarily selfish or even off… for the point of me asking you to share was to be leaders, examples, conscious lifters.
Just the concern that it might sound like bragging or ego driven is something to get clear on and potentially clear. Society is so welcoming of hardship struggle and overcoming… sharing our victim martyr stories…and yet heaven forbid someone share about success, love, light or service! You know?
One of the biggest hurdles in my evolution was letting go of my fear of being joy, sharing joy, experiencing joy and sharing joy. Sure, when I’m sad or need to hermit, that’s fine, yet when I’m oozing with pleasure, why would I shut that down to make others feel comfortable or to make sure I didn’t sound bragging? This was 4 years ago on a regular Saturday (ie NOT Halloween) and my son wanted to go dress in his Spider Man Costume and me dress in my Swamp Queen Costume and go to the Santa Monica Pier.
At first I was a Hell No…. and yet he was so alive, so vibrant, so joyful and fully self expressed… I couldn’t stand to squash that life force energy… and all I had to face was what the hell other people would think of us. Of me. Well, ‘bout time I walked my talk, yes? So off we went all in costume and had the most amazing time! Continue reading My Love Story: Being Silly
