So you know I just met someone and I’ve been divorced for almost 8 years and dated a few wonderful men, but never the one. About 9 months ago my friend Gurutej, who was on Intimate Conversations and who’s teleseminar I participated in (Get Your Skinny Back), told me to join Spiritual Singles. Then my friend who’s been with her hubby since 16 or 17 years old, told me her husband woke one morning and told her to tell me immediately to get exercising more becuase he had a vivid dream where I met my man in a stretch class. THEN my healer Lanaiya King said join Spiritual Singles (I know I know, two times) . THEN my other friend, who’s been with her husband since 15 or 16 yrs old, said her husband had this urge to get on the phone with me to tell me he still wants to jump his wife every day after 25 years and not to settle for anything less that I deserve.

I wanted to go deeper about this awesome exchange we had. I wanted to be clear that TRUE confidence and self worth has nothing to do with the ego… yet in our attempts to never let anything, anyone says to us, good or bad, ever effect us, what we resist persists and our ego stays unbalanced.
I’ve found that on a certain level, we simply need the mechanism of the ego to operate in this seeming reality of separateness, while simultaneously knowing it’s all Maya, all an illusion and we of course are all One and no one is out there.

I wanted to go deeper into our conversation about the Ego with glorious goddesses Tammy, Donna, Jaime and Heidi! I believe Ego is completely different than true feminine confidence…. in fact the more I read, live and learn, I believe ego is simply a mechanism to maneuver in the world of seeming separateness while full well knowing we’re all One.
For example, I remember talking with Dr. Northrup about this… how first she really had to have a full on egoic nasty bashing outpour of feelings about her ex… and then she was able to actually to write a letter to him of her honest feelings of love for him AND for all the growth she’s received because of him, she then read it to him AND to her daughters to let them know that while things have changed, there was a time when they were both conceived in love.
Thus I think it’s totally wonderful to enjoy ‘feeding our ego’ and yet be 100% clear that it has nothing to do with the truth of who we are, our innate worth, our fundamental oneness beyond identity, beyond things, even beyond agreement from others.
